Dtella:Release Team Poll Results

From Dtella Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Our poll is over, and the raw data has been organized and put into meaningful and useable mediums. This data tells us a lot about Dtella and will really help the Release Team make some decisions in the future. These decisions will be detailed later on another wiki announcement page, but for now, here's a look at the data we collected, for anyone interested!

We had a total 133 responses for the poll. 131 of those responses were valid (troll responses were ignored, thanks for the great feedback from the 131 of you!).

Once again, our big winner was The Big Bang Theory. It's clear you guys really love the geeky humor and our favorite Asberger's hero, Sheldon. As a result of this, Big Bang Theory will now take super precedent over all other releases. We will do our very best to have this show released 15-20 minutes after it airs, assuming no delay with the scene release or an error on part of the first scene group.

The Office rose from a 3rd place finish last semester to be our number 2 seed. This is likely because How I Met Your Mother was accidentally excluded from the poll, DOH! House kept its same spot (Dexter doesn't air this semester), but our last semesters big non syndicated star, Game of Thrones saw a major dip in popularity! This is likely because people have been waiting so long for it, it may have just been less thought of. Replacing Game of Thrones was a crowd favorite, Breaking Bad (we all know you're secretly planning meth labs of your own.. don't deny it). Topping off our mentionables list, Family Guy made a huge surge to come up as the #5 show, it being almost in last place the previous semester!

Below you'll find a few links. The first is a link to the poll this data came from. You're welcome to take it to check it out, but no responses are being recorded anymore... so go nuts. The second link will take you to a 3D Interactive Pie Chart as well as a sorted sheet of all the votes summed up for each show, including custom responses. The third link will take you to the data on the responses regarding the SD vs HD poll, while the 4th link will take you to a synopsis of the more detailed computer data we collected. The last link is the link to the raw results of the poll, for anyone interested.
